Trauma in the Workplace

A Resilience-Building Model
for Organizations Serving Traumatized Clients

Relieving the suffering of human beings who have experienced trauma is important work. Paramount to effective treatment of these survivors is an awareness of the dynamics that affect not only the well being of the clients being served, but also that of the volunteer, the employee, the clinician and the agency as a whole.

In this six-hour workshop we will explore how common institutional dynamics, often affecting morale and productivity, can result from working with traumatized clients. Solutions will be offered which will not only build a more resilient workforce but also lead to individual and organizational growth and development.
